Dorm Inspection Tonight: The Person in the Mirror Says I'm Dead

It’s the third year since the paranormal began to resurge, and the school has given each of us a copy of A Handbook to Surviving Ghost Encounters.

Rule One: Don’t trust anything that moves, including your shadow.

Rule Two: If you see an old person in funeral clothes asking for directions, you must pretend you can’t see them, or they’ll follow you home.

Rule Three: After playing the pen fairy game, you must break the pen. Otherwise, someone else will be in your bed tonight.

I followed the rules strictly, until I saw an old person in funeral clothes standing behind me in the dormitory mirror.

And in his hand was the very pen I’d forgotten to break after playing the pen fairy game yesterday.
