The Big Shots of Rikkai's Tennis Club Live Next Door

Marui Bunta × Lin Che

Because his parents are away for work, Lin Che moves in with his grandfather. There, he unexpectedly discovers that the neighbor next door is Marui Bunta, a key player on Rikkai Dai's tennis team. When they first meet, Marui steps in to help him out. After that, he often drops by to “mooch” the breakfasts Lin Che makes, and even drags him to the tennis courts to fill in as a ball boy. Slow to warm up and sensitive, Lin Che quietly develops a crush, but deliberately keeps his distance because he thinks he's nothing special.

Marui is direct and proactive, always finding ways to get closer. Lin Che's perceptive grandfather gives them a helping hand, while the tennis club members, including Yukimura, Niou, and Kirihara, either secretly nudge things along or help set the mood, gradually drawing Lin Che into their circle. From seaside training camp to the school festival, the two grow closer, though they also weather small trials like a misunderstanding over a love letter and rumors. At last, Marui confesses, and the two make their relationship official. With the whole tennis club cheering them on, Lin Che lets go of his insecurities and shares a sweet, lively everyday life with Marui.
