Three Dynasties of Favor: The Eldest Princess Gurun Shengyuan

She was Kangxi’s beloved jewel, Yongzheng’s legitimate daughter Yuancheng, and Qianlong’s respected elder sister. Reborn in the womb in the Qing dynasty, she was born to privilege. She protected her younger brother, the destined emperor, helped the woman who would become Empress Dowager, and chose her own marriage. The favor of three emperors never ceased.

When the Return of the Pearl turmoil erupted, the princesses turned the palace upside down. The empress was furious, and the emperor was at his wits’ end. She merely said, “Anyone under my protection is untouchable.”

From Yongzheng’s reign to the flourishing age of Qianlong, she was the Qing dynasty’s most dazzling legend, more revered than the Empress Dowager and freer than the emperor. This is the history written by a princess whose status was beyond compare.

[This story is set in an alternate version of the Qing dynasty during the reigns of Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong. Insisting on strict adherence to the historical timeline and similar details will only send you down a rabbit hole.]
