Turning Back the Jingkang Disaster: The Legend of Yi Feng

Yi Feng, the Lingxiao Emperor from the Xuanhuang World, unexpectedly hears two sorrowful poems written by Zhu Lian in the late Northern Song. The despair and defiance in every tear-stained line pierce the barriers of time and space, becoming his guide across dimensions. He arrives in the war-torn world of the late Northern Song and experiences the horrors of the Jingkang Incident firsthand in a vision. Jin cavalry trample Bianjing, imperial women are reduced to prisoners, and the dignity of the emperor is wantonly violated. The harrowing shock makes him swear an oath: he will protect these women with all his might, resist the Jin invasion, and turn the tragic tide of this chaotic age. He recruits his former followers and gathers refugees, forming the Yi Army, which answers only to him. Thus begins his path of redemption. When he first encounters Zhu Lian, Empress of Emperor Qinzong of Song, he sees the Jin general Liang Bo kick Zhao Huan and immediately steps in to protect the proud, unyielding empress. He then finds the captive imperial princesses Zhao Fujin and Zhao Fujin, and scatters the Jin soldiers with decisive force. Next, he rescues Xing Bingyi, Zhao Gou's first wife, from certain doom, using a clever scheme involving an ice-covered lake to drown five hundred Jin cavalrymen and strike fear into the enemy. Liu Shuyi, Zhao Duofu, and Consort Wang also escape their misery one after another. Even Wei Xianfei, Zhao Gou's birth mother, Zhu Fengying, and other imperial women are given a new chance at life under his protection. Yi Feng never stops moving forward, and his army grows stronger by the day. He is determined not only to save more Song consorts and princesses trapped in the Jin camps from their suffering, but also to build a safe haven for them and for this broken land amid the spreading flames of war. A cross-temporal tale of an emperor's redemption, a legend of resistance to the Jin woven from valor and tenderness, now unfolds.
