Fu Jian, the Chosen King of Former Qin from the Future

[Transmigration + no System + political intrigue + ensemble cast + ruthless conflict + war]

In 2855, a top agent is caught in an explosion while tracking an illegal time-travel device. His soul transmigrates to the Sixteen Kingdoms period of the Eastern Jin dynasty, where he becomes Fu Jian, the controversial Prince of Donghai of Former Qin.

From the start, he is caught in a deadly predicament. His brutal cousin Fu Sheng fears the prophecy that Fu Jian will “bring down Fu Sheng and become king of Xianyang,” and secretly moves to kill him.

Relying on a future agent’s instincts and intelligence, he narrowly escapes death, only to find himself caught in the struggle for the throne. The court is in turmoil, and danger lurks at every turn.

To protect himself, he keeps a low profile, secretly builds an intelligence network, and seeks out capable allies. He meets Wang Meng, who has yet to find a worthy lord, and wins his trust with a vision and breadth of perspective far ahead of his time. He uses modern knowledge to improve people’s lives, trains a corps of elite operatives, and quietly builds his strength.

Yet history’s momentum follows him like a shadow. Can this “chosen one” from the future rewrite Fu Jian’s tragic fate of coming so close to victory, only to fail?
