After transmigrating to the world of immortal cultivation, Lin Qingci binds herself to the “Way of All Beings” System.
Mission: cultivate to the Great Ascension stage and save the world.
And the newbie perk is to raise Senior Sister Shen Qinghan’s affection for her?
Looking at the senior sister who cultivates the Heartless Dao and can freeze someone to death with a single glance, Lin Qingci thinks the System is sending her to die.
She steels herself and tries to win over Shen Qinghan, a senior sister as cold as an air conditioner.
She expects a grueling office-worker-style campaign, but unexpectedly, her senior sister’s gaze grows stranger and stranger.
Lin Qingci diligently completes her tasks: giving her flowers, holding her gaze, and asking after her…
Her senior sister goes from indifferent to quietly accepting her flowers, and later appears at her side the moment she is in danger.
Lin Qingci, touched: Senior Sister may seem cold, but she’s warm inside. I get it!
She thinks she’s playing out the story of “I’ll melt the icy senior sister with love.”
Until the world-ending demonic tide arrives, her sect is destroyed, and the Heavenly Dao lays its cards on the table in her mind:
“You’re the new Heavenly Dao, and she’s the new Nether Capital. Hurry up and die together… I mean, sacrifice yourselves for the Dao!”
She is the vessel chosen by the Heavenly Dao.
Her senior sister is the designated ruler of the Nether Capital.
They are pawns fated to sacrifice themselves, merge with the Dao, and mend the sky.
Lin Qingci gives a bitter smile and prepares to accept her fate.
But the senior sister who was supposed to inherit the heartless Nether Capital cuts through the chains of fate with a single sword, shields Lin Qingci behind her, and coldly declares to the Heavenly Dao and the Nether Capital beyond the mortal realm:
“When did it become your place to decide what my Dao is?”
Lin Qingci: “…” Senior Sister, that’s not how the script goes!
