A Lonely Circle of Friends in the World of Philosophy

I think I’ve gone completely mad! The world can’t contain me anymore! Quick, kind humans, bring me some ice.

Who am I? I’m going to save the world!

I feel like I’m crazy, or mentally ill. I’m starting to doubt myself.

Will someone please tear down my theoretical framework? I desperately need a reason to overturn my philosophical theory! Help me come to my senses and return to reality! I need people to criticize me!

Wise and virtuous people, for the sake of morality, conscience, and love, please criticize me and save a lonely mental patient.

This is no delusion, but a profound philosophical work spanning centuries, disciplines, and cultures. It first traces the intellectual traditions of the great civilizations, then brings their ideas together for synthesis, critique, and debate. It aims to topple Confucianism and religious authority from their pedestals: Did Confucius and his disciples commit murder? Where should we draw the moral line? What about a personified God? It dares to ask the ultimate question, “Jesus Christ poops, and so does the Buddha”: Does God, too, have to obey the bodily laws that govern mortals?

The book is divided into seven volumes, each building on the last:

Volume One: Cosmology and Theology

Volume Two: Axial Age Philosophy

Volume Three: Chinese and Foreign Cultures Compared

Volume Four: Exploring the Natural Sciences

Volume Five: The Silicon-Based Age

Volume Six: Critique and Debate

Volume Seven: The Theory of Enlightenment

This book is intended for a broad readership, spanning many academic disciplines and readers around the world.
