When Gods Fall, Demons Rise

He was Tantai Jin, the Demon Venerable of Beiyuan who brought the Three Realms to ruin. She was Su Liuguang, the Celestial Maiden of the Nine Heavens who slew him with her own hands. Three hundred years later, he is reborn as a disciple of an immortal sect, while she burns her divine essence to protect the last remnant of his soul, turning herself into a prison. From finding comfort together in captivity to fleeing for their lives, from the frozen waters of the North Sea to the Secret Realm of Creation, a buried truth from antiquity slowly comes to light: the war between immortals and demons was merely a facade. The world is, in fact, a vast “pasture,” and they are nothing but “aberrations” that the “shepherds” have decided to eradicate...

A prophecy excerpted from this tale may reveal their fate:

“When chaos returns to the world, colored glass will light the way home, and the sparks of fate will burn away the old gods' lies. The cursed king and the deity whose heart turns toward the light will, at last, create a new beginning together upon the eternal ruins.”
