After a car accident on a rainy night, illustrator Su Wan lost all memories of her boyfriend Lu Zeyan. Doctors said this was the brain's "selective amnesia" of trauma. When she woke up, there was only Lu Zeyan, who claimed to be an "old friend", in front of the hospital bed. No one knew that this accident was caused by the emergency work he took on temporarily. He did not dare to show up as a lover, so he could only wear the shell of a "stranger" and quietly stay by her side.
Su Wan always felt that Lu Zeyan was special: when she passed by a cafe she frequented, she would subconsciously order two cups of Americano with two spoons of sugar, only to be surprised when she handed it out that she didn't drink it at all. When tidying up the studio, she found an unfinished illustration in which the boy's silhouette was exactly the same as Lu Zeyan's. The moment her fingertips touched the canvas, her eyes felt inexplicably sore. When she put the retro bracelet he gave her on her wrist, her fingers would circle it three times and fasten it skillfully, as if she had done it thousands of times.
These small "feelings of familiarity" made Su Wan test it frequently, but Lu Zeyan could only use "coincidence" to excuse it every time. Looking at her confused eyes, the guilt and love in his heart were repeatedly tugging at each other. He thought concealment was protection, but he didn't realize that Su Wan's body had already remembered everything for his brain: she would bring him hot porridge when he was working overtime, and she would hand him his usual pen when he frowned. Those habits engraved in his bones and blood were piecing together the forgotten love bit by bit. When Su Wan took the restored illustration and asked him, "Are we more than friends?", Lu Zeyan finally understood that the real redemption was never to hide, but to take her to pick up the past that belonged to them that had been hidden by time.
