"The Time Restorer" tells a soulful story about time, regret and reconciliation. In 1985, Mao Kongzi, a young technical school student, fell in love at first sight with the talented school belle Su Mingyue. A love letter that took a lot of effort, but accidentally led to eternal miss. In the next thirty years, Mao Kongzi took root in the Forbidden City and became a cultural relic restorer who talked about history with his fingertips. In his extremely slow technique, he sealed a period of youthful regret. In 2015, an old objects exhibition called "The Past" was held in the Forbidden City. A graduation album with a yellowed love letter provided by an anonymous donor lay quietly in the display cabinet. When the middle-aged expert Mao Kongzi reunited with this "cultural relic", the dusty years suddenly opened up...
