The Poor Girlfriend of CEO Shen Qingqiu: Her Daily Disguise

Shen Qingqiu is a rising star in the business world, known as the “Iron Rose.” She is tough, decisive, and worth tens of billions. But in the eyes of her younger boyfriend, Lu Yan, she’s just an “ordinary” girl who works at a small company, rents a run-down apartment, and scrambles every day to make ends meet. Shen Qingqiu thinks: Great, he still hasn’t figured out that I drive a luxury car worth tens of millions to “work” every day, that Assistant Zhang brings me jewelry worth millions instead of coffee, or that the building I bought on a whim is the dream home he says he’ll have to work hard to afford someday.

A year ago, Shen Qingqiu was badly hurt by her ex’s greedy, money-grubbing ways and swore she’d never date another man who only cared about money. So she carefully devised a “poverty test.” She kept a low profile, went out without makeup, and even pretended to save money by eating spicy hot pot from a street stall with Lu Yan, arguing with the owner over a one-yuan price difference.
