My younger sister went crazy.
She maxed out my dad's credit card, mortgaged the deed to our house, and bought a luxury car, driving it right downstairs.
"What a disaster..." My mom clutched her chest, gasping for breath. Her face turned deathly pale as she staggered backward.
"Lin He!" I rushed over. "Do you have any idea what you're doing? We could sell everything our family owns and still not afford this car!"
My sister calmly replied, "Sis, don't worry. I already know. Our family has plenty of money."
Supporting my mother as she collapsed to the floor, I screamed, "You're crazy! Look at what you've done to Mom!"
"Sis, it's fine," she said contemptuously. "Mom's faking it. Our family really is rich."
My dad's lips turned purple with anger as he clutched his chest, struggling to breathe.
Lin He looked at Dad, then suddenly smiled.
"Dad, you must have had a hard time pretending to be poor when you're the richest man in the country!"
