Chen Mo woke up to find himself in a noisy courtyard house, a lone man who could be devoured without a trace at any moment by the “beasts” living there.
As he fretted over how to survive in this “Beasts in the Courtyard” household, he suddenly bound to a System: rewards poured in, and he could get his hands on all the supplies and skills he wanted!
From a nobody who had just arrived to the respected “man in charge” of the courtyard, Chen Mo used the System to resolve one chaotic mess after another. He could shut down Jia Zhangshi's unreasonable antics, outmaneuver the second uncle's obsession with officialdom, see through the first uncle's plans for his old age, and even go from being at odds with Silly Zhu to becoming sworn brothers.
He used the supplies rewarded by the System to warm people's hearts and the skills he unlocked to make a life for himself. In this courtyard house full of schemes, he built a life that truly felt like home.
