Ling Wan, daughter of the Hidden Beast Valley's Saintess, enters the world with her spirit pets. At Blackwind Ridge, she encounters Xiao Jinghan, the King of the Northern Frontier, who has lost control after being poisoned. The two are bound by a conspiracy orchestrated by the Netherworld Pavilion, which uses “evil arts to control beasts and frame loyal officials.”
Ling Wan awakens her Saintess bloodline and uses the “Phoenix Song Beast-Taming Art” to communicate with divine beasts and resolve crises involving the beast herds. Xiao Jinghan breaks the beast-controlling poison curse, leads the Northern Frontier Army in wiping out the evil followers, and clears his family of its wrongful accusations. Together, they establish the “Pact of Coexistence Between Humans and Beasts” in Hidden Beast Valley, set up a supervisory bureau and schools, ban the abuse of beasts, and promote trade, spreading the idea of “beast-taming through empathy” throughout the Great Jing.
