I Loved You to the Bone, but No More

If love leaves a mark that lasts forever, does not loving someone mean you can walk away unscathed?

Five years ago, a carefully planned “accident” left Cen Nian “dead” in a sea of flames. From that day on, she was completely erased from her son Lu Chen’s life. Lu Wenyu, her ex-husband and the head of a business empire, used “protection” as an excuse to turn their son into a perfect heir with no “weaknesses”: a cold genius stripped of emotion and memories, existing solely to inherit the family fortune.

Five years later, Cen Nian returns, consumed by hatred, under the name Nian, a rising designer. She thinks she is fighting to get her son back, but instead she finds herself facing a “stranger” who no longer knows her. When her Chenchen looks at her, all she sees is utter indifference.

Yet even in the prison of absolute reason built by Lu Wenyu, a mother’s instincts can still find a crack. After one test and confrontation after another, and a direct challenge at Paris Haute Couture Week, a fissure finally opens in the frozen lake of her son’s heart. Lu Chen’s sealed memories begin to stir, while he is torn apart by his father’s extreme psychological control and his mother’s desperate pleas.

Just as the tide of truth is about to break through the dam of lies, Lu Wenyu crushes it with even greater brutality. An “accident” leaves Lu Chen gravely injured and with amnesia, sending him back into an emotional wasteland. Cen Nian throws herself into his life without regard for the consequences, only to hear her son ask in confusion from his hospital bed, “Who are you?”
