An epic tale of blood and fire, a defiant song of challenging the heavens with a sword!
His family is wiped out overnight, and the young Xiao Wuxin leaps from a bottomless cliff.
Just as he is about to die, an ancient and ferocious sword saves him. With blood as their pact and despair as their guide, they forge a heart of annihilation.
From then on, the man without a heart lives by the sword.
Revenge is only the beginning. When he steps out of the ruins, he discovers that his family's sacrifice was bound up in a shocking conspiracy spanning the ages. The so-called "Heavens" are no gods, but a monstrous evil that has stolen the Heavenly Dao and enslaved all living beings!
How can one lone swordsman stand against the supreme "Heavens"?
The answer lies with the brothers and beloved companions who fight by his side.
He will meet a fiery, valiant swordsman who can be trusted with life and death; a brilliant strategist who can plan a thousand moves ahead; and a peerless beauty who is cold on the outside but warm within, and will follow him through life and death... They gather because they share similar hatred, but their common convictions make them one another's strongest support.
From the mortal world to the Nine Heavens, he leaves mountains of corpses and seas of blood in his wake, crushing countless powerful foes. In desperate straits, he tames an ancient thunderwolf; among the ruins, he comprehends the supreme Sword Dao; between life and death, he forges an everlasting bond.
When the truth is revealed, his sword no longer points at a single person's enemy, but at the whole world and all its people!
"Since the Heavens are unjust, I shall wield the sword in my hand to destroy the false heavens and establish a just world, reopening the realm for all!"
