I Read Godslayer in the Library

My name is Chen Mo, and I'm an ordinary librarian at the city library. My job is to remove forgotten books from the shelves and seal them away. Then one day, I placed a rare copy of the Classic of Mountains and Seas into the “Forbidden Archive” with my own hands, and crimson moonlight tore the sky apart. Only then did I understand: I hadn't sealed away a book, but entire forgotten ages of myth. And I wasn't guarding a library, but the ultimate prison holding the ancient gods captive. While my colleagues discussed how to use their supernatural powers to slay the gods and demons that had slipped through cracks in their seals, I alone knew the true horror: the ancient deities I had personally catalogued, and whom the world was about to “forget” entirely... They were about to return.
