The story of Su Wan, an independent bookstore owner, and Lu Chengyu, an ancient building restorer. Su Wan runs a used bookstore that carries family memories in a small town in the south of the Yangtze River. She is quiet and reserved, and is used to talking to the world through words; Lu Chengyu came to the small town to participate in a local ancient bridge restoration project. He is calm and focused, and his fingertips always carry the warmth of wood and history. During a heavy rainstorm, Lu Chengyu broke into a bookstore to take shelter from the rain, and was attracted by a yellowed architectural manuscript. The owner of the manuscript was none other than Su Wan's late grandfather, a craftsman who participated in the initial construction of the ancient bridge.
The threads of fate were quietly entangled. Starting from the scattered records in the letters, they explored the story behind the ancient bridge. They also slowly walked into each other's world while looking at each other and side by side again and again. Su Wan's tenderness hidden in her words, and Lu Chengyu's deep affection hidden in his rigor, fermented in the mist and rain of Jiangnan.
