Open your eyes, and you're already in a dead end! The only way to cultivate is to take what you need!
Hu Fangqiu, who had worked until the early hours in his cubicle, opened his eyes again only to find himself thrown into a ramshackle hut in the wilderness. As pain from broken bones and torn muscles wracked him, the Primordial Origin Stone embedded in his chest gnawed at his life force day and night like a ravenous ghost. Want to live? His only hope was to cling to the last scraps of resilience he'd built up as an overworked office drone, seize what little spiritual energy the world had to offer, and wager his life in a desperate struggle against this deadly strange stone.
Fortunately, fragments of a cultivation prodigy's memories lay buried deep within his soul.
No System, no special aura. He relied on:
The relentless grit honed by office work, scouring riverbanks until he found dark ironstone to keep himself alive;
The prodigy's precise knowledge of spiritual materials and energy, diverting the power consumed by the Primordial Origin Stone to cultivate against all odds;
Building up his strength amid the simple, everyday life of Qingmu Village, then entering the magnificent world of cultivation, where he finally saw the bones of the dead littering the path to glory, and the brutal law of the jungle hidden beneath it.
But as his bond with the Primordial Origin Stone deepened, he grew increasingly alarmed: this "life-taking stone" was tied to astonishing secrets shared by the modern world and the cultivation world. His rebirth had never been an accident. It was all part of a scheme laid a thousand years ago.
When an office drone's survival instincts collide with a prodigy's knowledge of cultivation, the path to survival he forges along the boundary between mortals and cultivators holds a truth more thrilling than a simple comeback: the desperate struggle for survival you think you're facing may be only the first move in someone else's game...
I read it in one go and it was very well written. The author's writing style is brilliant and the description is very delicate. From Hu Fangqiu's time traveling to another world, to the Taiyuan Primary Stone in his chest, to the influx of Hu Lingrui's memories, and being rescued by Granny Wang and Xiao Jiayao. The story is very detailed, and the characters are well portrayed. Later, he began to search for stones, absorb spiritual energy, kill wild boars, and seek a way to survive for himself little by little. Looking forward to his next counterattack! Thank you to the author for writing!
