The Demon Venerable Goes All In on Madness, Kicking the Immortal Emperor into a Blackwater Ditch

They say the Demon Prince Yin Jing is hideously ugly and vicious in his methods of rule.

He has a well-known obsession with cleanliness. Anyone who gets close to him in the demon realm is put to the sword.

While searching the mortal realm for the Demon Heaven Seal, Yin Jing happened to rescue an injured phoenix and take it along with him. Once its wounds healed, it turned out to be a man, cool and ethereal in appearance, with an imposing, otherworldly bearing.

Yin Jing had no interest in admiring him. He raised a leg and kicked: “I’m afraid of men.”

Mu Lingcang’s face turned cold as ice. He sidestepped the blow. “I cultivate the Path of Ruthlessness.”

Yin Jing twirled his fan and pointed down the road. “Good. The main road leads in both directions. Let’s each go our own way.”

Mu Lingcang glanced at the narrow plank bridge. “Please let me pass.”

So Yin Jing kicked him into the black-water ditch, then watched at his leisure. “You’re just a demon who cultivated into a monster. You think you can compete with me for the road?”

But a sword suddenly came to rest against his neck, and Yin Jing changed his tune. “Brother, let’s talk this out.”

Mu Lingcang uttered a single word: “Get lost.”

His pride wounded, Yin Jing smiled. “I have one virtue: I’m bad-tempered. You’re going to die.”

If you won’t back down, then fight. Life and death are up to fate.

He never expected this brother to go easy on him, or even to take the brunt of all nine heavenly tribulations for him later. Just as Yin Jing was getting all choked up with gratitude, Mu Lingcang lifted a hand and caressed his face. “You are the only attachment I have on my Path of Ruthlessness.”

Yin Jing fell silent for a moment, then pointed at his head. “Are you sick in the head?”

An ancient god was determined to get romantic with a demonic cultivator like him.

Mu Lingcang: “So be it. The road to winning his heart will be long.”

But that road led straight to the Divine Fall Platform, a bottomless abyss.

Yin Jing: “Isn’t this moving a little too fast?”
