Night Watchman of the Mountain Village: I Came from Maoshan

Armed with half a battered copy of The Maoshan Secret Essentials and a few magical artifacts left behind by his master, Lin Wan, a mediocre young Taoist, is forced to step up time and again. He must not only battle all kinds of evil spirits and fiends, but also face the villagers’ misunderstanding and fear, as well as the doubts cast on traditional “superstition” by the tides of the times. From his initial trepidation to the resolve he later finds, he grows with every adventure, uncovering astonishing secrets buried deep in the history of the mountain village and gradually coming to understand the true meaning of the Way. This is a fantasy adventure filled with rural charm, folk ghost stories, and the growth of youth.
