I Run a General Store in Jincheng, and My Customers Aren't Human

[Urban Oddities + Classic of Mountains and Seas + Wacky Daily Life]

My name is Gu Lan, and my golden finger is seriously messed up!

It’s called the [Eye of Truth], and it can see through anything. But every time I try to help someone out of kindness:

I tried to help a struggling teahouse, but the owner chased me around and beat me up. She became an overnight sensation, though.

I tried to talk some infighting spirits into making peace, but they used me as a punching bag. They went on to unite and go public, though.

I tried to save an unlucky detective, but I got electrocuted unconscious. His curse... lifted on its own.

I’m at my wit’s end. Why does everyone else get luckier the more unlucky I am?!

Me: “So I’m basically a living punching bag people make wishes on?”

(There’s a lot going on here. Try the first three chapters.)
