Schoolyard Doomsday: We Awakened Superpowers

The day the campus belle mocked me in front of everyone, calling me "the most useless loser in the entire grade," the zombie outbreak began.

She cowered in the corner, trembling, as she watched me twist a zombie's head off with my bare hands.

"Don't be afraid." I wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth and smiled. "My ability just happens to be their perfect counter."

I controlled steel to build barriers and made plants weave into a deadly maze.

Flames danced in my palm, lighting up my gradually sharpening fangs.

When the rescue team finally burst into the classroom, everyone backed away in terror.

I was on one knee, gracefully kissing the campus belle's bloodied fingertips.

"Sorry." My scarlet eyes glowed in the darkness. "I just awakened my vampire ability, and I'm still having a little trouble controlling my appetite."
