The play is adapted from Shi Jing's novel "Kunning". The play tells the story of Jiang Xuening who reshapes his life trajectory by abandoning evil and doing good. After joining forces with Xie Wei to quell the rebellion of King Pingnan, he and Xie Wei break through the shackles and finally get married!
