Di Renjie: The Li Clan's Dragon Abyss

In the fourth year of Chuigong, Prince Yue's residence in Yuzhou falls. Eight-year-old Li Zerun, originally named Li Jue, watches his father, Li Zhen, set himself on fire. His birth mother, Lady Wang, a distant niece of Empress Wang, gives him a personal jade pendant carved with the character "Li" and concealing the shape of "Jue," renames him "Zerun," and entrusts him to Di Renzhen, Di Renjie's younger brother, who had been helped by Prince Yue years earlier. She urges him to "hide your strengths, keep a low profile, and wait for the right moment." Lady Wang then hangs herself. Di Renzhen takes Li Zerun out of Yuzhou that very night, evading the guards' search, and eventually ascends the throne~
