A "data storm" of unknown origin swept the world, and 99% of human beings mutated into "data aberrations" driven by primitive desires (eating, destroying, and reproducing). The world has become a wasteland of predators, but the survivors discovered that after killing the aberrations, they can absorb their scattered "data fragments", thereby strengthening their own attributes and awakening their abilities.
