Bai Ling, a top military-industry expert, wakes up as a “good-for-nothing witch” whom everyone in a land of magic can bully.
No magic power? Perfect. She never believed in that stuff anyway.
In an abandoned workshop on the edge of the city, she uses her own hands to restart humanity’s journey toward technological progress:
No scales? Then she’ll make them herself. Using just a knife, water, and a lamp, she balances objects by hanging them, magnifies the readings with light, and measures weight with water drops, reproducing a measurement standard accurate to 0.1 grams.
No ruler or compass? She uses a strand of hair, static attraction, gravity, and a projected light source. After a hundred attempts, she handcrafts a precision ruler accurate to within 0.005 millimeters and begins building the first industrial machine tool.
From saving a princess of a fallen kingdom with the first flintlock to driving back the demonic tide with the roar of heavy machine guns, she leaves the continent astounded.
She builds her own power and makes this magical world start listening to the voice of science.
When legendary mages and dragons march on her, certain victory is theirs, or so they think. Bai Ling’s missiles are already picking them off with pinpoint accuracy from a hundred miles away.
Only when the mushroom cloud of a nuclear bomb becomes the scepter of a new god does the old order finally collapse.
Yet the true crisis is only just beginning. A world-ending demonic tide devours the heavens and earth, magical defenses crumble one after another, and the entire world falls into despair.
As all living beings kneel and beg the gods for help, Bai Ling merely yawns and casually tosses the “water drop” she has been playing with into the sky...
So, who is the god now?
Can there be less descriptions about the so-called "delicacy" of the protagonist? It kind of affects the perception.
The protagonist is Superman
It's pretty good, but the plot feels too long.
So pretty,
A bit interesting 🍉
