Cyberpunk: From Corporate Drone to Living Legend

[Cyberpunk] [Original Worldbuilding] [Ensemble Cast] [No System] [Independent City] [Urban] [Sci-Fi] [Corporations] [Slow Burn]

“In a world completely taken over by capital, people say that corporate executives are the closest thing there is to the elite.”

“But they never mention the price of that comfort: living on a knife’s edge every day.”

“You have to watch every colleague around you, every business partner you’ve had even the slightest disagreement with, and even strangers whose gaze lingers a little too long as you walk down the street.”

Derrick Inglin is an executive at Feya Mining. One day, as usual, his mentor, Hunio Morris, asks him to handle a dirty job.

But after a series of unexpected events, not only does he fail to take down his opponent, Hunio also dies, and Derrick loses everything he once had.

It’s like trying to strangle someone with a rope, only for it to wrap around once and tighten around your own neck.

“Life has its ups and downs. It’s no surprise to fall from heaven into the dust overnight.”

“But I will make it back to the top!”
