Lu Chenzhou is a top-tier S-class Alpha suffering from pheromone dysregulation. The line between his power and his violence is razor-thin, and he is trapped for life by his dependence on a specialized suppressant. A carefully orchestrated conspiracy makes him lose control in front of everyone. At the brink of despair, a clear, cedar-scented pheromone descends like a god and pulls him back from the edge of collapse.
He believes the one who saved him is a special Omega, but the other man turns out to be Shen Jinchuan, the mysterious owner of a security company. A contract binds them together: Shen provides the identity of a temporary partner to help Lu seize power, while Lu repays him with the soothing effects of his one-of-a-kind pheromones.
As Lu grows increasingly dependent on Shen’s tenderness, he lets down his guard and willingly shows his vulnerable side. Until Shen reveals his true strength while saving Lu from losing control: a strength no Omega could possibly possess.
When Shen’s identity as an “Enigma” comes to light, their trust crumbles in an instant. The one who can completely suppress and soothe Lu is a rare sex, one that stands above Alphas.
Lies and sincerity intertwine; dependence and control vie for dominance. Is this entanglement, born of a contract, a carefully planned hunt, or a mutual salvation destined by fate?
He thought he had found the shackles to tame a wild beast. Only later did he learn they were a cage the beast willingly bowed to him from within.
I think the author's descriptions are quite good, but sometimes the words are used just right. I don't know why no one reads it. Maybe someone has a clue, but as long as you don't read the new words at the end, it's fine.
It's pretty and sweet, but if you have a baby later, you can avoid it if you can't accept it.
