I Was Told to Keep My Head Down, but the System Keeps Causing Trouble

He woke up to find he'd transmigrated into the body of a poor scholar in ancient times, with empty walls at home and debts piling up. He planned to rely on the System to pass off a few poems as his own and live a leisurely life as a plagiarist. But who could have guessed the System would issue such a bizarre quest: "Reject the prime minister's daughter when she tosses you her embroidered ball, then criticize her weight in public!" He was trembling and ready to back down when he discovered that insulting people made him stronger! Ding! Make a sharp-tongued rival from an enemy kingdom cry, and receive the Thirty-Six Stratagems! Ding! Berate a border general for being afraid to fight, and gain the strength of a conqueror! Just as he'd become unbeatable at insulting everyone in court, the empress on the Dragon Throne smiled softly. "That sharp little tongue of yours is impressive. Come to my chambers tonight and tell it all to me in private."
