In the future city "Nova City" where memories can be extracted, stored and traded, Ling Chen, a top memory organizer, is like an archaeologist of the soul, accompanying others' joys and sorrows all day long, but his heart has long been numb. One day, a mysterious noblewoman brings an impossible commission: to retrieve a completely "erased" memory of her deceased husband. This business violated all the iron laws of memory science, but dragged Ling Chen into a huge vortex composed of broken fragments, silent lies and his own forgotten past.
