Demon-Bone Spirit Warden: The Land of Nonhumans

“I’m not here to save them. I’m here to learn how to stop being human.”

Feared by humans and exiled by the Time Administration, the half-yokai sword master Bai Ye falls into a corrupted citadel, burdened by uncontrollable yokai blood and severe depression.

It is home to swords who were betrayed, broken, and stripped of their names. They could have killed him, but instead they choose to tend one another’s wounds.

On missions beyond the citadel, they take in even more broken “wandering swords,” bringing back rust, broken horns, and blank inscriptions alike,

planting black roses in a desolate courtyard and piecing together a land beyond humanity in shattered mirrors.

When the purification army bears down on them, Bai Ye undergoes complete yokai transformation and opens a “boundary gate” beyond the timeline.

The price is losing his human identity forever, but for the first time, he allows himself to keep living.

This is a dark fairy tale of mutual salvation:

“We don’t need to be healed. We only need permission to keep living with our cracks, and then, in the land beyond humanity, to come home.”

The main story has a rather dark style. If you’d prefer something more healing, you can start with the IF storyline (∗•ω•∗)
