That's the Mecha I Like, So I'm Taking It by Force

[Mecha combat] + [realistic mecha] + [apocalyptic wasteland] + [character growth] + [well-thought-out worldbuilding] + [Meige poets] + [tactical warfare] + [single white-haired, red-eyed heroine] + [no System] + [mecha inspired by Armored Core: Judgment Day] + [occasional high-octane moments]

In the apocalypse, humanity loses the surface and is forced to eke out a wretched existence underground!

After the invaders leave, the Federation government sends a large number of elite exploration teams to the surface to reclaim it, wipe out the robot and cyborg armies enforcing order, and help carry out a counterattack!

As an elite operative trusted by the Federation, Zhang Ziyang is sent to the surface on a mission. He should be given a mech, and even a pretty decent safe house!

But the Federation Council has run out of resources?

[So you're saying I have to do the work and scrounge up my own supplies for the mission?]

Fine, whatever!

I'm a Federation elite. How can I put up with this?!

If it's a mech I like, I'll just take it by force!

If it's a generator I like, I'll just return it to its rightful owner!

If it's gear I like, I'll just confiscate it!

[Raider: Dude, aren't you a Federation hunter?! Are you seriously that broke?!]
