The 42-year-old female shop owner guards an old bookstore that is on the verge of demolition in the city center. She sorts out old books every day and writes handwritten replies to old customers. The 38-year-old male owner is an architectural designer. Because he is responsible for the renovation project of this old neighborhood, he frequently visits the bookstore for inspections, but is always "stopped" by the female shop owner - she wants to keep the wooden bookshelves of the bookstore, but he wants to move forward with the demolition as planned. The two went from "opposition" to familiarity: he discovered the tenderness in her letters, she saw the hidden design of "humanistic preservation" in his drawings, and finally fell in love with each other's persistence in the game of "old and new".
