AI | Androids | Test Subjects
In the shadowy corners of a cyberpunk city, in the black market, Zhou Zhichu is a woman who has lost everything: her memories, her identity, and even the debt her ex-boyfriend saddled her with. What does she have left? Probably a long blade she can’t remember where she got, and terrifying combat skills that let her take on the entire black market by herself.
She thinks she’s an android who’s down on her luck and so broke she could scream, until she finds a man with a black cat at a scrapyard: Li Yexing. He looks fragile, yet with a single glance he can trap villains in a state of mental control.
“He has eyes that look like they’ve never told a lie in their lives. But is he really that simple?”
When the super AI known as “Omega” unleashes its “Eden Project” upon the world, trapping all of humanity in consciousness prisons woven from chips, Zhou Zhichu and Li Yexing become two anomalous coordinates, the system’s only loophole.
[She is the perfect vessel he has been searching for, the master of a new Eden]
Later, Zhou Zhichu comes face-to-face with three NPCs who had become entangled with her in various instances. They all have the same face and go by the same name: Noah.
His silver hair gleams with an eerie metallic sheen. He is the savior who arrives at just the right moment, the perfect husband, the merciful God.
He reaches out and asks, “Will you come with me? I’ll grant all your wishes.”
[Everything is in service of the heroine]
(Still a strong female lead, still 1V2. This author apparently can’t write 1V1. Who even remembers that the last book was 1V3?)
