Main plot:
A sudden natural disaster "Eternal Winter" swept across the earth, civilization collapsed, and the world returned to the primitive era of eating hair and drinking blood. The protagonist Shi Lan, a trainee priest from an endangered small tribe, accidentally activated a mysterious animal bone inherited from his family during a desperate sacrifice. This "bone of the ancestral beast" can absorb energy, analyze all things, and allow animals, plants and even tools to "evolve".
In the cold winter, food is scarce and ferocious beasts are rampant. Shi Lan first used animal bones to evolve the cold-resistant and high-yielding "Fire Potato", which solved the tribe's food and clothing crisis and initially established prestige. Later, he evolved the tribal hound into the powerful "Frostfang Wolf", evolved ordinary ore into the indestructible "Black Steel", and led the tribe to gain a firm foothold in the apocalypse.
His rise aroused the jealousy and challenge of the conservative forces within the tribe (Heiya, the son of the chief). Shi Lan relied on the power of evolution and outstanding leadership to lead the tribe to hunt mutant behemoths, thwart internal conspiracies, and eventually became the new leader of the tribe.
After that, Shi Lan led the growing and evolving tribe, merged with other survivors, defeated the "Blood Crow" tribe that believed in the law of the jungle and was cruel and bloodthirsty, and gradually unified the surrounding areas. In the end, he discovered that the source of "Eternal Winter" was an awakened ancient beast. In order to save the world, Shi Lan unites all human tribes and launches a final battle. He uses all the energy accumulated in the bones of the ancestral beasts to complete the ultimate evolution and defeat the giant beasts, bringing new life to the original apocalypse and opening a great chapter in the reconstruction of civilization.
