Sky Screen: I Showed Them Nezha, and Now All My Ancestors Get It?

[Sky screen + historical what-if + no romance + lighthearted + no kowtowing to any emperor]

Gong Haoran, an animation graduate who had just lost his job, accidentally bound himself to the Mythic Sky Screen System, which lets him broadcast movies and TV shows into parallel worlds of the past.

To make a little money and give his ancestors a small “cultural shock,” he started by playing the pinnacle of Chinese animation: Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child.

[Qin Shi Huang]: “My fate is mine to control, not Heaven’s? Good! Good! Good! That’s the way of the emperor! If the immortals won’t save me, I’ll become an immortal myself!”

[Emperor Wu of Han]: “If a demon child like this could serve as a general, why should we worry about wiping out the Xiongnu? This method should be the foundation of our nation!”

[1942 Base Area]: “It wasn’t the Dragon King who flooded our homes, it was the Japanese invaders! We’ll pull out their dragon tendons too!”

Just as Gong Haoran watched the emotion points skyrocket, delighted beyond words, the next moment, everyone from the First Emperor to the last emperor, from ministers and generals to common soldiers, knelt beneath the sky screen and begged:

“Immortal Master, have mercy and teach us how to defy Heaven!”

Gong Haoran was dumbfounded. “I just put on a cartoon. How did you all end up wanting to cultivate immortality?”
