[Main story complete, happy ending, read with confidence] [Slow-paced, three female leads, futuristic sci-fi setting, main adversarial couple: cold, obsessive, lovesick, unhinged older woman x gentle, kind, resilient younger woman]
This story contains: an age gap, forced love
"Stay with me. I'll learn how to love you."
"Leave her. Your world can only have me in it."
"Luo Xi, don't be afraid. I'm here."
She used gentle lies to toy with my kindness.
"I thought I was saving you."
"I hate you for destroying me."
When kindness burns away, all that remains is the resolve to take the enemy down with me.
When nineteen-year-old Luo Xi was forced to sign the "private employee" agreement, she thought she was merely a plaything collected on a whim by Shen Mo, a senior investigator.
Shen Mo arranged immortality for her, sent her to school, and gave her a life of platinum luxury, yet never allowed her out of sight. Luo Xi's kindness let her see the wounds beneath Shen Mo's icy exterior, and she tried to guide this seemingly unloved soul with warmth.
She almost succeeded.
Shen Mo began cooking for her, riding the sky train with her to school, and standing up for her when she was bullied. Luo Xi even began to believe that perhaps this platinum cage could truly become a home.
Until the family of the woman she loved was suddenly investigated and placed in isolation.
Until she discovered that Shen Mo had masterminded the explosion a century ago that wiped out her mother's family.
When Shen Mo finally convinced herself that Luo Xi had fallen in love with her, Luo Xi simply gripped the dagger in her hand and plunged it into Shen Mo, saying softly:
"I will never forgive you for as long as I live."
It was my first time to write such a long article, and I inevitably encountered some problems encountered by new authors. Later in the writing, there were difficulties in writing (although there were also reasons for one chapter to be more than 6,000 to 10,000 words), writing problems, and forgetting some settings. When I started writing, I was very confident that I could keep updating until the end. However, later in the writing, I had to cram a lot of content into one chapter due to the rules established before (24 chapters per volume). I will never dig a hole for myself again 🤦 And the author's naming of each chapter has the "literary" style of early online articles. To be honest, it's not that I don't want to be straightforward, but that I really can't think of a title that is straightforward and can summarize the content of the chapter. The same goes for the naming of the novel. "Platinum" means fate in the author's novel worldview, so this book can actually be called "Cage of Fate" because "fate" in the worldview is an absolute power that ordinary people cannot escape. When you will be born, when you will die, who you will meet, and what will happen, it has been determined from the beginning. The female lead Luo Xi is a victim of many misfortunes of fate. She should not be able to bear it, but she has an angel who loves her deeply. The second female lead, Shen Mo, is also a victim of fate, but her determination to be happy for the people she loves will eventually allow her to break through the cage of fate, giving the story a happy ending. The third female lead, Su Wanqing, is destined to be separated from Luo Xi due to certain disasters, and she will also be Luo Xi's guardian angel after he overcomes all difficulties. The author believes that he sincerely writes a good story, so I would like to express my gratitude to all the readers who endured the incomprehensible title and persisted in reading it. If possible, I hope to leave more messages to communicate with the author. I would like to know how it is my first time to write such a long novel and what everyone thinks about this story. 🫰😘
