The Quest for the Seven Fragments of Hongmeng

Ling Chen, an apprentice blacksmith in the Mortal Realm, is branded a “Swordbone” after a sword-shaped birthmark appears on his palm. Hunted by the Xuanyin Sect, he is unexpectedly drawn into a fateful quest to find the seven fragments of the Hongmeng Broken Sword.

He leaves the sect with Mo Ying, a young member of the Sword Fiend Clan, and joins forces with Su Muyue of the Ten Thousand Artifacts Pavilion and Lei Yan, an outcast of the Heavenly Sword Domain. Together, they venture through the Western Region’s Spiritwood Valley, the Immortal Realm’s Sword Tower, the Netherworld Abyss, and an ancient ruin realm. They collect all seven fragments, corresponding to earth, wood, metal, fire, water, space-time, and the Hongmeng core, and face the Sword-Eroding God, who plans to devour the Three Realms with sword entropy.

From the sandstorms of the Mortal Realm to the turbulent currents of the Sea of Chaos, from the world-destroying Sword Entropy Formation to the final battle in Qingfeng Town, Ling Chen uses the Hongmeng Broken Sword to defeat the villains. In the end, the heroes settle into their own lives: Lei Yan guards the Heavenly Sword Domain, Su Muyue protects Spiritwood Valley, Mo Ying holds the Netherworld Abyss, and Ling Chen stays in Qingfeng Town with Ling'er, turning the grand mission of “saving the world” into the everyday work of keeping the peace.
