In the nights of Lancheng, half the city is sea breeze, the other half, crime.
Lu Chen is the head of a major crimes unit investigating the "Judge." He's also an undercover agent sent by his superiors, with his sights set on the unhinged female judge who hands down verdicts by day and takes lives by night: Su Qingran.
He planned to gather evidence against her, but fell for her in their game of cat and mouse. He also uncovered the truth: she became the "Judge" after her parents were brutally killed.
His superiors are pressing him to complete his undercover mission, while the "Azure Dragon Society" and "Shadows" are hunting them down, and his allies on the team each have their own agenda. When Su Qingran presses her dagger to his chest, Lu Chen throws the evidence into the sea. "Whatever madness you're carrying, I'll carry it with you."
But Lancheng's evil has already ensnared them all. Lu Chen's identity is about to be exposed, and the "Judge's" killings have awakened an even greater darkness. Can these two people, bound together in the abyss, save each other?
