Shi Xiaoyu is a neglected orphan in Wangyu Village. His parents died young. Only the fishing skills he learned from his father allowed him to earn a living by the river.
Zhao Laosan, a bully in the village, occupies a position of power and secretly electrocutes fish in the river to make money. Shi Xiaoyu bumps into him and stops him, but is cruelly pushed off the cliff behind him. When he woke up again, his brain was injured and he became the "silly fish" joked by the villagers. But no one knew that when he fell from the cliff, he accidentally touched the meteorite fragments and activated a "god-level fishing system".
Others were fishing for aquatic plants, but what he caught was the spiritual spring fish that could heal injuries; others were worried about the lack of sales, so the rare river fish he caught attracted bosses in the city to compete for them; Zhao Laosan wanted to cause trouble for him again, so he swung it over with a rod, and the "accident" he caught made the bully suffer a lot.
From a silly orphan who can be bullied by everyone, to a "fishing king" who supports his family business and protects his neighbors with a fishing rod, Shi Xiaoyu holds the system and fishes all over the rivers and lakes, turning all the sufferings he has experienced into a ladder to the top.
