Tree Shadows Stretch Across Our Youth

It's not childhood sweethearts or a secret crush, it's an open crush. I tagged it wrong. I'm a new author, so I hope everyone will support me. The writing in the first few chapters isn't great, but I don't have time to revise them. I hope you'll understand 😭

Synopsis: Beside the steps on the first day of high school, Lin Yu bends down to help Jiang Wenchi pick up his scattered textbooks. Sunlight falls on the backs of their overlapping hands. On the basketball court, Jiang Wenchi stands behind Lin Yu, steadying his arm as he teaches him to shoot. Their sweat-soaked uniforms cling to the feelings the boys keep to themselves. They share the tomato and egg stir-fry in their lunch boxes, pass around drafts covered in promises, and cheer each other on beneath the desk lamp during their senior year. Later, after the college entrance exams are over, the two stand beneath the old locust tree, clutching their admission letters to universities in the same city, and hold hands. From blue-and-white uniforms to white shirts, from "classmates" to "us," the shadows of the tree sway through six years, and their love is hidden in every moment of every day.
