Xu Yan's Soul Transmigrates into Fan Shengmei

After signing the divorce papers and learning that her grandmother is critically ill, Xu Yan opens her eyes to find herself in the world of Ode to Joy, as Fan Shengmei, trapped in the mire of her dysfunctional family.

Bringing the clear-eyed sharpness of a workplace influencer and the deft judgment of a seasoned HR professional, she is determined to tear off the “gold-digger” label. She puts Qu Xiaoxiao in her place by invoking the law, protects Qiu Yingying by using a chain of evidence to expose the manipulation, helps Guan Juer avoid workplace pitfalls, and even forges a rational alliance with Andy, while always maintaining just the right distance.

At a dinner in Nantong, her decisive efforts to help a fellow townsman claim unpaid wages unexpectedly catch Bao Yifan's eye. When turmoil erupts in her birth family once more, she refuses to be a pushover who sacrifices everything for her brother and instead takes control, cutting her losses.

When prejudice from the wealthy meets her formidable abilities, and the warmth of Apartment 22 intertwines with her professional ambition, this soul-transmigration comeback, beginning in an elevator, will show everyone that she has never been anyone's appendage. She is her own light.
