To others, being hailed as a fallen hero is the highest honor. For Han Yixian, it became a lifelong wound that would never heal.
Her father died on an anti-drug operation, and her mother was killed in a drug dealer’s revenge. Her maternal grandfather was old and had long lived in a nursing home, so ten-year-old Han Yixian was taken in by Lu Qinyu, her father’s old comrade and fellow police officer.
Living under someone else’s roof wasn’t as hard as she’d imagined. While staying with the Lu family, Han Yixian didn’t have to change her name or her surname, or even call Lu Qinyu “Dad.”
And so she settled into the Lu home. Another place was set at the dinner table, and she gained an older brother who shared neither parent with her: Lu Haizhou.
In her sophomore year of college, she decided to break the unspoken tension that had been there since they were young:
“Lu Haizhou, do you really not like me at all?”
“Xianxian, I’ve always thought of you as my little sister. Do you want to make Dad sad?”
…
“Xianxian, why didn’t you tell the family you were coming back to the country?”
Han Yixian was thinking of how to answer when he asked, “Haven’t come up with an excuse yet?”
What was that supposed to mean? Was he interrogating a suspect?
“Then let me think it over, big brother. I’ll answer you once I’ve figured it out, okay?”
Lu Haizhou: “…”
…
Arguing over a misunderstanding
“What gives you the right to interfere? And what gives you the right to be angry?”
Lu Haizhou: “If you were dating someone decent, would I interfere? One person yesterday, another today. What’s that supposed to mean?!”
Han Yixian taunted him coldly: “That’s right, Lu Haizhou. Anyone else is fine, but you’re the one person who can’t.”
A flirtatious, unpredictable girl returning from abroad × a serious, by-the-book old-school man
Female writer × Criminal investigator
Older man, push and pull
This book is really good to read. The heroine is really sober and always has a way out for herself. The male protagonist is also very good, but the second male lead is so good that I don't really like the heroine or the male protagonist. The second male lead is really good, with high emotional intelligence, education, sense of proportion, and a little bit of narcissism. Being with the female lead abroad has taught her a lot. Even the female lead herself said that he has no shortcomings. The only shortcoming is that he is so good that she even thought about marrying him. Unfortunately, the two have different future plans. If the male lead keeps the two of them, they will really continue to be together. Oh, it is really a pity. I really hope that they will be together 😢 😢 😢 Can the author write more about the lives of the heroine and the male lead abroad in the extra story? I really like them both. Please 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰[ Adore]🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I read this book many times, turning it upside down. It was originally a random search by a fan, but I didn't expect to be surprised. The story is very mature, not silly and sweet, and the romance is realistic and sober. I also like the second male lead, Wuwuwu, although the length seems not too much. Maybe I like the second male lead in real life, but the male protagonist is also very mature and loves more than the silent part.
Every boy in the novel is very nice and positive, and the male protagonist is also very kind to the female protagonist, but I feel that you shouldn't worry too much in life, just be together if you like it, but I'm just saying that, haha, how many people can do that, anyway, it's very interesting.
It's very realistic and very interesting. Lu Haizhou is struggling internally because of his special relationship with Yi Xian. Xiao Ting's love is respect and restraint, and Yi Xian is also very rational and brave. The plot and the emotions of the characters are very delicately written. It's worth watching!
The overall story has a eloquent feel, and there are basically no clichés. The heroine's personality is quite unique. She and her ex-boyfriend both slept in the same bed, and nothing happened hahahaha... I personally feel that the hero's hesitation and hesitation were not portrayed deeply enough.
It's quite good-looking. It's not that he doesn't love Lu Haizhou, but he doesn't dare to chase him, can't keep him, and can't tell him. Xiao Ting, you think he doesn't care, but he looks at Yi Xian's back carefully for the last time where he can't see her. There is no gorgeous language, but the quietest, most restrained, and most painful kind of love is written.
It's quite good-looking, but why doesn't it have so many clicks?
Not bad, I stayed up late to finish watching it
Really well written and engaging
This is one of my favorite books. The writing is good and the descriptions are delicate.
