Who Says a Dancer Can't Be a Hero?

Su Li, the star dancer at Chang'an’s Misty Rain Pavilion, can captivate the capital with a single dance. Her flowing water sleeves can make princes and lords bow, yet no one knows that golden needles are hidden in them, or that beneath her skirts lies a medical art capable of astonishing the world.

A palace coup drenches the Zichen Hall in blood. The late emperor’s loyalists are slaughtered, and the orphaned infant is in grave danger. While the court falls silent with fear and the heroes of the martial world weigh their options, Su Li uses a dance of “Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River” to disrupt the enemy’s resolve. She conceals deadly golden needles in her sleeves to drive back the pursuers, protecting the dynasty’s last spark of hope amid flashing blades and clashing steel.

From then on, the dancer’s flowing robes take on the colors of blood and fire. She uses dance as bait, navigating between corrupt officials and villainous forces in the martial world. She wields medicine like a blade, saving lives even as she quietly weaves a vast web to unravel the conspiracy. Some call her a beauty who brings ruin, a temptress who throws the court into chaos; others admire her healing hands, compassionate heart, and chivalrous spirit.

Surrounded by open attacks and hidden daggers, with danger at every turn, Su Li whirls in her red dress amid the smoke of war. “People say a dancer is only fit to entertain guests at banquets. But I will use these sleeves to save a collapsing world, and these needles to restore order to a troubled age!”

Who says a dancer can’t be a hero? Watch Su Li break through deadlocks with her dancing and save the world with her medicine, performing a legend in which no woman is inferior to any man amid the shifting tides of fate.
