Dragon Ball Super: The God of Destruction Calls Me Brother

Lin Fan felt like he was about to drop dead.

Seventy-two straight hours of all-nighters and overtime had his heart gripped by an invisible hand. The code on the screen before him blurred into flickering spots of light. His last conscious thought was of his greasy, chubby project manager bellowing, and his own voice screaming in defiance:

“Damn it... If only I could switch to another world... I’d never write this awful code again...”

His consciousness drifted through the darkness. After an unknown length of time, a violent jolt snapped Lin Fan awake.

He opened his eyes abruptly. The dazzling sunlight made him squint. Fresh air filled his lungs, carrying the scent of earth and grass, utterly unlike the murky office air he remembered, thick with instant noodles and caffeine.

Beneath him was soft, springy grass. Above him stretched a clear blue sky dotted with a few cotton-candy clouds.

“Where... am I?”

Lin Fan sat up and looked around in shock. He was in an unfamiliar clearing in the woods, surrounded by towering trees so broad it would take several people to encircle their trunks. Their branches and leaves were lush, and birds sang brightly. His cheap suit was gone, replaced by a soft, comfortable white martial arts uniform he had never seen before.

Memories came flooding back: overtime, sudden death, and then... arriving here.

Had he transmigrated?

As Lin Fan’s mind reeled, a cold, emotionless mechanical voice sounded directly in his head:
