The story takes place on the fictional border of the modern Eurasian continent, where a seemingly grand but extremely absurd war engulfs several countries. The six protagonists from different camps, classes and backgrounds are forced to stand together under the whirlpool of power and destiny. They use humor to mock the system, laugh at themselves under fire, and fight against the absurd and troubled times with friendship and tenacity. In the long turmoil, they continued to collide and grow, faced the test of emotions and beliefs, explored peace and self-worth, and finally completed their respective redemptions at the end of the war. The whole book uses a multi-line narrative to show the fate of the group of portraits, with humor interspersed with the separated reality and ideals, with a tight rhythm and repeated climaxes.
