The story takes place in the chaotic and absurd Republic - a country that has been devastated by modern wars and institutional corruption. Reporter Zhao Bubu, deserter Kuhlman, field doctor Alyssa, oppressed boy Ali, power operator Helan, and international volunteer Margaret met in the power game and the smoke of gunfire. They use humor to keep each other warm, satirize the system, and rely on each other to cope with the absurd impact of fate.
