In the middle of the 22nd century, the world of Blue Star has endured the baptism of the Great Cataclysm. Environmental collapse, the wars of the past, and out-of-control biotech have together shaped a planet rife with danger. Cities have become sprawling vertical ruins, and mutated creatures nest in the shadows. To survive in this harsh new world, humanity has taken three vastly different paths of evolution. These paths have changed not only their bodies, but also profoundly reshaped their souls and humanity, creating an insurmountable class divide. Ying Nan, a lightwalker, joins forces with the modified human Aila to try to change this world.
