A Dandy Green-Tea Sedan Bearer and a Violent, Unhinged Miracle Doctor

My name is Su Da. Yes, I have the looks to be the kind of fox spirit who brings ruin to a nation. My grandmother said she gave me this name hoping I would grow up sweet and graceful. I did grow up lovely, but my personality went off course. I'm practically a man-eating plant.

Right now, I'm clutching a crumpled marriage document outside the gates of what's known as the military compound. The armed soldier there eyes me like a blade, sizing me up from head to toe. I guess he's judging my skinny arms and legs, but I could knock him down with one punch. Yeah, right. When have I, Su Da, ever needed my fists to win a fight?

The Gu family elder comes to receive me. His hair is silver, he's the old commander who once led Mu Ziwei, and his voice booms like a bell. "Since you're here, girl, you're one of the Gu family. Jingzhe isn't here, so you'll be my granddaughter."

Gu Jingzhe? My fiancé?

Hah. You'd better come back in one piece.

Otherwise, your whole Gu family, along with this boring compound, can look forward to being torn apart by me, your granddaughter-in-law, and the grandson you don't even know is on the way.

Now that would be... interesting.
